Bar Council Order and Rules-1972

Bangladesh Bar Council is a statutory autonomous body. It was established by the Bangladesh Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Order, 1972 (Presidential Order No. 46 of 1972). Under sub-section (1) of Article 40 of this Order, the Bar Council can, with prior approval of the government, make rules through gazette notifications to carry out its functions in certain specified matters.
